High School students are invited to take part in a focus group discussion on a range of things that matter to young people. Get rewarded for your opinions!

What is a focus group?  A focus group is an engaging, interactive, confidential discussion where a small number of people share their honest opinions, insights, and experiences on a specific topic. Groups will last 60 minutes and have about 8 to 10 participants. It's a conversation with a purpose!

Why participate?  

• Share your unique perspectives
• Get paid for your time ~ $30 Kwik Trip gas card per group. 
• Contribute to programs in your community
• No preparation required - just bring your authentic self!

These groups are for students who attend a school district that serves Sauk County. 

All participants who meet the eligibility requirement (above) and actively participate in the full conversation will receive $30 Kwik Trip gas card upon completion of a focus group. 

Participants may register for up to two focus groups, one in each topic: underage drinking or commercial tobacco use. If a participant successfully participates in more than one group, they will receive $30 for each group, up to $60 in Kwik Trip gas cards. 

All groups are virtual on Zoom and will require a laptop or smart device with camera. 

Groups are limited to 10 participants. Space is limited.  

• Monday, April 6- Underage Drinking
• Wednesday, April 8- Commercial Tobacco Use

• Tuesday, April 14- Underage Drinking
• Thursday, April 16- Commercial Tobacco Use

• Monday, April 20- Underage Drinking
• Tuesday, April 21- Commercial Tobacco Use 

All participants will need a signed consent form on file before participating.

• Participants must attend the entire focus group to be eligible for gas card.
• Participants can withdraw from participating at any time. 
• The groups are being conducted by Sauk County Partnership for Prevention Coalition and Public Health Sauk County. 
• Only eligible to participate in one focus group per topic: underage drinking, commercial tobacco use and prescription drug misuse.
